2016 is still a ways off but Nike already has plans to take over the new year. Proclaiming next year as the "Year Of The Windrunner," Nike is innovating the iconic piece in conjunction with two of today's most fashion forward brands; a womenswear take by way Japan's own Sacai, and a menswear approach done by the always innovative Stone Island. Chitose Abe designed the Sacai x Nike Windrunner, which combines a blend of faux fur and ripstop material. Stone Island takes it a step further, revamping the entire silhouette with a wind-resistant Mussola Gommata fabric and a Prima-Loft interior lining for added warmth (and, obviously, Stone Island's signature compass logo). The pieces are set to drop Thursday, December 17 at select NikeLab retailers and on Nike's webshop. Get 'em while they're hot.
