Toronto-based rapper, Kris, reminisces on summer with the video for her latest single, "Late at Night" from 2015's Don't Feed The Animals mixtape. On the track, Kris is unapologetic about her admiration for bold and carefree women who are all about their goals. No bad bitches, just bad women/ Might break your heart with good intentions/ She might want you but love is missing cause she busy chasing money vision.

In the video Kris daydreams about spotting a "girl crush" during a smoky kickback and inviting her for a night on the town. The girls pass blunts and pop bottles of wine before venturing out to the CNE—Toronto's annual end-of-summer carnival—and ending the evening pool-hopping. Eventually, Kris snaps back to reality and realizes she was just gazing at her crush the whole time.

"I wanted to express the art of women empowering other women from a new perspective," Kris told The FADER via email. "In this video, I play a shy girl who is used to keeping to herself until she meets an independent, carefree woman who takes no time out of her day to worry about what others think. The two set out for a night on the town where I learn the meaning of spontaneity and the fact that one creates their own rules in life. This is the story of how I learned to live while on the journey towards self love."
