Toronto’s Prime Boys Link Up For A Warm Weather Banger Called “Front Page”

Produced by Murda Beatz.

If Prime Boys—the Toronto crew made up of Jimmy Prime, Jay Whiss, and Donnie—sound familiar to you, it could be because you've heard their voices on OVO Sound's biweekly Beats 1 radio show. Or it could be because the east side rappers have built themselves individual followings on the strength of a slow drip of releases. Today, they're premiering "Front Page," a heater produced by Murda Beatz, a 21-year-old from Fort Erie, Ontario who's supplied the likes of Migos and Rich The Kid with skittering trap beats.

"It was another classic studio session with Murda Beatz and we knew we wanted to create a song that would shake up the city," the boys told The FADER over email. "3 a.m. hits and we're already 10 songs deep. Murda started to play the beat, and instantly the hook came. Within an hour, the track was recorded."
