April 06, 2016

Last week legendary designer Hedi Slimane departed Saint Laurent after less than five years at the helm of the heritage brand, but Saint Laurent is like totally over it you guys, ok?? The brand (who appear to have reclaimed the "Yves" eschewed by Slimane) went on to immediately poach Anthony Vaccarello from Versus Versace, and then, in a PR move inspired by middle schoolers everywhere, they put it on Instagram. But they didn't just post about it: they wiped their entire account, replacing the remnants of Slimane's tenure with just a single black-and-white portrait of Vaccarello. Cold.
