Bebe Rexha recently told Genius how her collaboration with Nicki Minaj came about. "I went to a party," she explained. "I knew the The Weeknd was gonna be there, and I wanted to meet him. I met The Weeknd—he was super cool... I also met Gee Roberson there. He's Nicki’s manager. He’s been a part of a lot of big careers—Kanye, Drake. I wanted to play him 'No Broken Hearts.'"

"I told him my story," she continued, "how I’m from New York. He was like play ['No Broken Hearts'] for me right now, on the rooftop, at the Four Seasons. On my phone. And everything sounds sort of shitty on a phone. He was like, 'if it’s a hit song I’ll tell you right now.' So I played it. He has golden ears. He was like 'send it to me right now, I'm going to send it to Nicki.' He sent it to Nicki. She jumped on it."

Nicki also shows up to rap her verse in the new visual for the track, which arrived today. G-Eazy makes a cameo as well. Watch the Dave Meyers-directed clip above.
