Jay Electronica Honored Phife Dawg With A Freestyle Last Night

Following his death, Phife Dawg has earned tributes from everyone from Kanye West to a pair of local traffic reporters. Jay Electronica paid his respects over the weekend in Minneapolis with a freestyle. In between verses, he traded call-and-response chants of "can I kick it?" with the crowd. A local MC named Metasota joined him in the tribute as well, and at the end of the freestyle, Electronica noted admiringly, "this motherfucker really can spit!" Watch footage above.
