Following their 2014 LP Excellent Condition, the Toronto band's latest track loses the synths and leans on burly guitar pyrotechnics and foreboding, scratchy-throated vocals. Existential thought and metal have always been partners, and “I'm Gonna Live” is a blast from the Heavy Metal Parking Lot and wood-panelled basement practice.
