Vic Mensa Brings Attention To Chicago Police Violence With “16 Shots”

Chicago rapper, and SaveMoney collective member, Vic Mensa announced his There's A Lot Going On project earlier this week. Today, he premiered the first single from the project on Beats 1 radio with Ebro. "16 Shots" is about the 2014 shooting of LaQuan McDonald at the hands of Chicago Police.

"I was inspired to make this song by my time down on the ground floor, in the street, when we were revolting against that shit," Mensa told Ebro. "This record is like self-defense." Listen to a brief interview, and Vic Mensa's "16 Shots" below.
