Killer Mike has suggested that Run the Jewels's third album could be out later this year. Speaking to HipHopWired he revealed his plans for an album he says is "darker, harder" than their last release. “I would like to be finished by July 7," he said. "I would like to ball on the 4th. I think we'll be done real soon. People know when we say soon, we're trying to get it out. We want it out this year.”
Talking about his preparation for the album, Mike added: “I’m just smoking weed, eating ‘shrooms, watching Big Trouble In Little China everyday. You know what were doing, were going zany. We’re going dark. I think we have some stuff that will touch your soul.”
Run The Jewels 2 was released in October 2014.
