Following Britain's decision to leave the European Union, there will be a march this evening in London, from Altab Ali Park in Whitechapel to the News Corp HQ at The Shard. The purpose of the gathering is explained succinctly in the Facebook event's description:

"We will not allow a wave of xenophobia and racism to threaten our lives and wellbeing. Join us on the day after the referendum vote to show solidarity with all migrants and defiance in the face of racism — whether it comes from the far right or the 'civilised' ruling class."
