OG indie rock band Thee Oh Sees will release A Weird Exits on August 12 via Castle Face Records. Frontman John Dwyer and his band have been on the go since 1997, and this will be their tenth album (you can stream their last one here). Premiering today on The FADER is the solemnly groovy "The Axis," which takes the album to a fuzzy end — a solid example of how Thee Oh Sees's prolificness is matched by consistent quality.
"I prefer to leave interpretation to the listener," Dwyer told The FADER via email, when we asked about the track. "When I was young I knew what a song meant to me, personally. Every time I looked behind the curtain I was disillusioned. So, good hunting. I can tell you we wrote this in the studio after everything else. A sort of finale."
