Rexx Life Raj's Father Figure project is perfect summer listening, not because it's all carefree and easy, but because it speaks to both struggle and lighthearted fun. The Berkeley rapper's new video for "Shit N Floss," which premieres on The FADER today, is a perfect example of the latter. In the visual, Raj heads to Oakland for the First Friday monthly street party where musicians perform on the sidewalk, artists sell their work, and the city comes to life.
"'Shit N Floss' is a celebratory anthem that allows you to stunt on whomever you'd like," Raj wrote in an email to The FADER. "Shout out First Friday, the streets of Oakland, and that one random white woman that decided to go dumb with us. Mob."
