Joe Biden made his entrance to the Democratic National Convention in Philadelphia on Wednesday night to the theme song from Rocky, setting the stage for what would be a passionate speech about the virtues of Hillary Clinton and the dangers of Donald Trump.

The Vice President began his speech by thanking Barack Obama for making him a part of his cabinet, and an unofficial member of his family, before speaking about Hillary Clinton's achievements and character. "I know about Hillary Clinton," Biden told the convention. "There's only one person in this race who will be there, who has always be there for you, and that's Hillary Clinton's life story. It's not just who she is, it's her life story."

Biden also had some choice words for Donald Trump and his supporters: "His lack of empathy and compassion can be summed up in a phrase that I suspect he is most proud of having made famous: "you're fired.'"

The Pennsylvania native closed out his speech by speaking about American values and the future of the nation, telling the crowd, and those watching at home, "The 21st century is going to be the American century."

Twitter loved Biden's fiery speech, particularly his direct attacks on Donald Trump and his use of the word "malarkey."
