On Sunday night, Usain Bolt won the Olympic gold medal for the 100M event, securing his standing title as the fastest man in the world. As he crossed the finish line in 9.81, Bolt pounded his chest and became the first person to win consecutively win three 100M gold medals. His main competition, Justin Gatlin of the United States came in .08 seconds behind him and took silver. Andre de Grasse of Canada won the bronze.
