Yesterday, De La Soul released And the Anonymous Nobody..., the hip-hop group's first new album since The Grind Date, which came out way back in 2004. The road to the album release was not an easy one and began when De La Soul launched a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter that garnered more than $600,000, or six times more than the group requested.
As a new documentary from the group reveals, that isn't even where the story of their newest project begins. Yesterday, the hip-hop trio shared We're Still Here (now), a multi-part film that details the nitty-gritty of the album making process from label negotiations to recording sessions and beyond. Peep the doc in its entirety above.
