In May, Post Malone released his debut mixtape August 26, titled as such because it was to be the release date for his debut album Stoney. Unfortunately, August 26 has come and gone and Stoney has still not arrived.
Post Malone addressed the album's absence in a apology note on Instagram. "Due to a couple of different issues my album couldn’t be finished on the date that I promised," Post Malone writes. "I’m disappointed in myself and my whole team. I been talking all this shit, even made a mixtape about a date that has no significance… I couldn’t deliver on my word."
While Post Malone doesn't provide a new release date, he assures his fans that him and his team are "on the cusp" of getting the project out. View the full statement below.
Fans were rightfully disappointed, sharing angry and sad memes directed to Post Malone and Travis Scott, who has also been behind on the release of his Birds in the Trap Sing Brian McKnight album.
