Watch Prince’s Band The Revolution Play Their First Reunion Show In Minneapolis

Prince’s backing band The Revolution announced plans to play a run of shows in Minneapolis shows in memory of their former leader after he passed away in April. Last night, September 1, saw the band play the first of three dates at local club First Avenue. The venue has significance with Prince fans as it features heavily in 1984 film Purple Rain.

See below for fan shot footage of the band performing songs including "Raspberry Beret" and "Purple Rain" below. At one point they were joined by guest Bilal to perform “The Beautiful Ones." The Revolution will play First Avenue this Friday and Saturday, September 2-3.
