A lightning to mini-phono adapter will be included with each phone, so you can still use all your aux cord-friendly devices. (Announcing the change, Apple worldwide marketing VP Phil Schiller said it "came down to one word: courage.")

-A brand new product was announced: Wireless headphones called Apple AirPods, which last for five hours on a single charge (the charging case it comes with provides a total use time of 24 hours). They do not require Bluetooth-style pairing with the iPhone. The AirPods ship in late October and cost $159.

-The longest battery life ever is here. The iPhone 7 lasts 2 hours more than iPhone 6, and the iPhone 7 Plus lasts 1 hour more than iPhone 6s.
