The news that London club Fabric is being forced to close has been met with dismay and anger on social media. The club employs around 250 full-time members of staff and has been a formative part of London clubbers lives since it opened in 1999. The decision was made at a council meeting in the London borough of Islington late last night, September 6. It came after two teens died on the premises of the club in June of this year. Nearly 150,000 people signed a petition urging the authorities to keep Fabric open. The following messages from social media reflect how that community is feeling this morning.
