Complex has spotted footage of Kendrick Lamar "off the juice" and posted up in the studio at 5:32 in the morning. In the video, the Compton rapper raps classic Lil Wayne like "Gangsta Shit," as well as Wayne's verses on the Hot Boys tracks "Ridin" and "Respect My Mind." He says he's been listening to all of these songs for years: "We going all the way back nigga, when we was 16, 15 years old, nigga, some Hot Boys shit, nigga, day one."

A series of tweets led many to believe that Lil Wayne is considering retiring, and in the video Kendrick asks him not to in the strongest possible terms. "Nigga talking about retiring, FUCK THAT, NIGGA. Retiring, quitting rap, whatever you want to call it, nigga, fuck that."

Lamar also reveals that Wayne is the reason he's working so hard in the studio. "I'm in the motherfucking studio making motherfucking features, nigga. I seen you in 2007, 2008, I seen you knock out 10 motherfucking features in a row, nigga, back to back. I'm in this motherfucker right now."

In March, Kendrick called Lil Wayne "the greatest. Not only because of his music but also because of the culture he put behind it." Wayne responded with a tweet reading "Kendrick Lamar a real one #Respeck."
