Travis Scott Earns His First No. 1 Album With Birds In The Trap Sing McKnight

The Houston producer has earned his wings.

Travis Scott has scored his first No. 1 album on the Billboard Hot 200 chart with his sophomore LP Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight, which debuted in the top spot. According to Billboard, Birds earned 88,000 equivalent album units in the week ending in September 8, and 53,000 of those were in traditional album sales. Previously, Travis Scott's debut studio album Rodeo peaked at No. 3 in 2015.

Birds in the Trap Sing McKnight is now the 5th initial Apple Music/iTunes store exclusive to hit No. 1 in 2016. The project now joins the ranks of Frank Ocean’s Blonde, DJ Khaled’s Major Key, Drake’s Views and Future’s Evol. Fellow Epic artist DJ Khaled also earned his first No. 1 earlier this year.
