Twitter Announces Photos, Videos, And More Don’t Count Towards 140 Character Limit

GIFs, polls, and quoted Tweets won’t effect your character count.

Twitter has made individual Tweets just a little bigger. According to the company, videos, photos, polls, GIFs, or Quote Tweets won't count against a Tweets 140 character limit. Check out the new usage in the short video above. According to a VentureBeat, Twitter has also been testing no longer making @names count against Tweets as well. Read that full piece here.
