In the days leading up the release of their 22, A Million album, Bon Iver announced a series of worldwide listening events, where fans reported that a newspaper connected to the album was being given out. The newspapers have already popped up on eBay, and are being sold for inflated prices, but the band's label Jagjaguwar has warned fans not to pay the high prices. "Friends, we made PLENTY of these #22AMILLION newspapers," the label wrote on Twitter. "We're working on a plan to get them out to you."

A similar phenomenon occurred around the release of Frank Ocean's Boys Don't Cry Magazine, which was given away at pop-up events. Ocean's mother issued a similar warning to fans, promising a wider release of the magazine which is still yet to materialize.

A representative for Bon Iver was not immediately available for comment.
