In a post on his Facebook Tuesday night, Kid Cudi addressed his fans in a note saying he recently entered a rehab program for depression. The note details some of the psychological issues he's wrestled with, and has spoken about candidly in his music over the years, including intense anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts.

Says Cudi: "I am not at peace. I haven't been since you've known me. If I didn't come here, I wouldve done something to myself. I simply am a damaged human swimming in a pool of emotions everyday of my life."

The report comes on the heels of two newly-released singles, "Surfin'" and "Frequency," and news on the delayed release of his forthcoming Passion, Pain & Demon Slayin'. The note also assures fans that "the album is still on the way," but that he'll be taking time off to focus on recovery.
