Drake and Future have been on the road for the last three months for their Summer Sixteen Tour, performing over 50 dates around the U.S. since July. On Wednesday, Drake took to his October's Very Own blog to tell fans that he would be postponing upcoming dates on the tour to do an ankle injury.

"We are over 50 shows in and I have done everything to power through my recent ankle injury and leave it all out there on the stage every night," Drake wrote. "I hate to be told I can't do something, but under doctor's orders to allow me time to recuperate."

Drake promised a healthy return with new material to perform for fans: "I can't wait to see you all again with new music and a stronger ankle."
