When Key and Peele finished its run in 2015, Jordan Peele said he was keen to pursue new avenues away from comedy. The first fruits of that quest come in the shape of Get Out, a racially-charged new psychological thriller that he wrote and directed.
The film stars British actor Daniel Kaluuya and Girls star Allison Williams as a couple who head up state to visit her parents. When Kaluuya's character arrives he is creeped out by her parents overly attentive behavior, but dismisses it as awkward politeness. Only when he is told by a friend back home that there have been numerous reports of black people disappearing from the town does he start to think there's more than meets the eye.
