President Obama has been clear about his support of Chance the Rapper in the past. The Chicago rapper visited the White House in April to discuss the My Brother's Keeper initiative with the president and Obama included Chance in his recent Summer Playlist.
According to CBS News's Steve Dorsey, Chance will be a guest at the White House's state dinner tonight, where President Obama will host Italian Prime Minister Matteo Renzi. Chance will also be joined at the dinner by celebrity chef Mario Batali, actor Roberto Benign, and New York Governor Andrew Cuomo. Chance will be performing at the White House in December for the annual National Christmas Tree Lighting concert.
