Whether he was telling us about how he doesn't "discriminize" or coming up with the best rap jingle ever, Quavo shined bright wherever he appeared in 2016. This year was a burst of ingenuity for Migos, following the dab craze and a period of stagnation, but particularly for Quavo, who added charismatic verses and hooks to tracks by 2 Chainz, Travis Scott, Ty Dolla $ign, YFN Lucci, and many more. To honor the Atlanta rapper's accomplishments over the last 12 months, Chicago's Elz the DJ has compiled the highlights of Quavo's solo endeavors into an hour-long mix entitled Featuring Quavo.

"2016 has been a big year for the Migos, whose “Bad & Boujee” looks to be a major comeback hit," Elz told The FADER over email. "But Quavo made as much noise this year solo, stealing the show on a gang of tracks by artists from across the hip-hop world. Mainly focused on his 2016 output, this mix captures Quavo’s best features in 2016 including "Pick Up the Phone" & "Key to the Streets," with no Migos tracks included."
