Taxstone Reportedly Arrested In Connection With May Shooting At Irving Plaza

The popular podcast host was taken into custody on Monday morning, according to law enforcement officials.

Taxstone, the New York City-based host of the popular "Tax Season" podcast, has been arrested for alleged involvement in the May shooting at Irving Plaza, NBC 4 New York has reported. Taxstone, real name Daryl Campbell, was also wanted on a federal warrant charging him with being a felon in possession of a firearm, sources told NBC 4. He was taken into custody by U.S. Marshals New York, Jersey Regional Fugitive Task Force, and NYPD on Monday morning without incident.

The shooting at Irving Plaza occurred on May 25 prior to a scheduled performance from T.I. New York rapper Troy Ave and two others were wounded in the shooting and his bodyguard, Ronald McPhatter, was killed. Troy Ave was later indicted on one count of attempted second degree murder and four counts of criminal possession of a weapon. He pleaded not guilty and is out on bail after posting a $500,000 bond.

Representatives for Taxstone and the NYPD were not immediately available for comment.
