Congresswoman Maxine Waters Is Not Here For Donald Trump’s Inauguration

She’s not interested, not going, and quite frankly never intended to.

Unwavering Congresswoman Maxine Waters has made it clear that she will not be in attendance to welcome in the next president-elect. In fact, she never planned on it. When MSNBC's Tamron Hall asked Waters why she's deciding to skip the inauguration of Donald Trump, California's 43rd district representative prefaced her response with, "Well let me just tell you." At that moment, I knew that she was here to deliver a sharp read.

Waters continued to go down a condensed list of Trump's disgraceful behavior that she was not obliged to support, "I don’t like the way he has mislead people, the way he has lied. I don’t like the way he has disparaged folks. I don’t like the way he has mimicked and mocked a disabled man.”

She then concluded her explanation with, "There’s nothing about him that I would want to be involved with. I don’t honor him, I don’t respect him, and I don’t want to be involved with him.”
