Moonlight Scores 8 Oscar Nominations, Fences And Hidden Figures Also Honored

La La Land leads the pack with the most nominations at the 2017 Academy Awards.

The 2017 Academy Awards are scheduled to air on Sunday February 26 on ABC and the nominations were announced this Tuesday morning.

La La Land ties the all-time record for Oscar nominations with 14, including nods in the Best Picture category plus Best Actor and Actress for Ryan Gosling and Emma Stone respectively. Moonlight also picked up a Best Picture nomination with Barry Jenkins in the running for Best Director.

Elsewhere there were multiple nods for Fences and Hidden Figures plus a Best Original Score nomination for Micachu and her work on Jackie.

This year's awards will be held at the Dolby Theater in Hollywood, Los Angeles and will be hosted by Jimmy Kimmel.
