M.I.A. has shared a preview of the self-directed video for her new song "P.O.W.A." which will be released on February 6. The short clip shows the artist, dressed in floral all-over pattern, lying in a bed of flowers in the back of pick-up truck that's speeding along a dirt road. "POWA some people love it sooooo much they'll do anything for it," she wrote on Instagram. "POWA comin soon." The beat for the song in the clip appears to sample The Marcels's "Blue Moon."
The new track will be M.I.A.'s first release since her AIM album in September. She had previously said that the record would be her last, citing visa troubles. M.I.A. shared the first preview of "P.O.W.A." on Instagram on Wednesday.
A representative for M.I.A. was not immediately available for comment.
