Fresh from playing EDC Mexico, Jersey club artist UNIIQU3 is rolling out a high-energy dance video for her boisterous club track "The Anthem" that debuted on the festival's recent compilation. Directed by WheresDiggity, the video was shot in a Newark skate park and finds UNiiQU3 joined by Jersey club dancer LifeofQueee. Decked out in all-black outfits, the two women make the space their own, with Queee cutting shapes to UNiiQU3's quick-fire lines celebrating the strength of independent women.
"I'm really excited about this video," UNIIQU3 told The FADER over email. "This song is all about being a boss from the club to the workplace and not needing a man for anything — I wanted to hear more of that in dance music so I made The Anthem. It's clear to see that Jersey Club scene is flooded with guys, so that's why I'm happy Queee and I linked up to make this happen. I also wanted to see more girls when it came to dance visuals, and we all know I always have a crew of eccentric black girls with me at all times, major key."
Dancer LifeofQueee also weighed in: “I have been dancing to Jersey Club for years but have never had a chance to really collaborate with other female artists," she told The FADER. "This was my first time working with UNIIQU3 but it was about time that the Queen of Jersey Club and the Queen of Jersey Club Dancing come together and make magic!"
