Gorillaz Announce New Album Humanz

The group’s first album in six years will arrive April 28 and feature Grace Jones, Vince Staples, D.R.A.M., Pusha T, and more.

After hints, rumors, and speculation, Gorillaz have officially announced their new album Humanz. The cartoon band, created by Damon Albarn and Jamie Hewlett, will release the album on April 28. On their Instagram account, Albarn and Hewlett also detailed their lengthy list of collaborators for the record, including Grace Jones, Danny Brown, De La Soul, Pusha T, Kali Uchis, Kelela, Vince Staples, D.R.A.M., Popcaan, Mavis Staples, and more.

Damon Albarn will join Mistajam on BBC Radio 1 this afternoon to debut new music from the project. The group recently announced that they would be headlining their own festival in Margate, Kent this June.
