Pop savants Dua Lipa and Martin Garrix released their collaboration "Scared To Be Lonely" back in January. It's an emotional track with a heavy beat that you'll probably hear a lot this summer. The pair have reunited for an acoustic version of the track, which is premiering on The FADER today. Think gorgeous string section instead of floating poolside.

In an email to The FADER, Garrix said that working with Dua has been "an absolute pleasure" and sang her praises. "She's not only incredibly talented, but she's such a dope person," he said. "We get along super well and everything has come so naturally to us on this collaboration. When I came to Dua with this song, she really elevated it to the next level with her voice. I'm super thankful to have her as part of this song and I can't wait to hear everyone's reaction to the acoustic version.”

Dua echoed his sentiments and said that type of performance is something she's waited for. "The song is a very personal song and I feel like it relates to a lot of people," she said. "It's a song I loved from the moment we started working on it together. Martin has been so amazing and we've become such great friends along the way and has made the process of how this song has evolved even more magical. The stripped down acoustic version with an orchestra is something I've been wanting to do for a very long time and I couldn't be happier with how it turned out. The strings really take the emotion in the song to a whole new level.”
