L.A. band Dabble isn't fond of being pegged to one genre, so they chose one for themselves: "Neu Dream Hip-Pop." The impressive five-piece is releasing a debut album on April 18 called Touch with Burger Records, and "Wait," the record's third single, is premiering today on The FADER.

Dabble began as an experimental duo, and though they're now an expanded crew, that tinkering spirit shows in the range of sounds they produce. "Wait," a slow-burning thriller of a song that's jazzy, shadowy, and sharp in equal measure, is their darkest yet, they say. "Lyrically, 'Wait' gives listeners a view of the darker side of our music, accompanied by more serious tones and melodies," they wrote in an email to The FADER. "We feel it's the most sophisticated song we have written so far." Listen below.
