Wilma Archer is the artist formally known as Slime. Under his previous moniker, the singer-producer (real name Will Archer) made mellow electronic R&B, releasing his debut album Company on Weird World in 2015. Today, he returns with "Like A Hunger," his first release in two years. Featuring the vocals of rising American singer-songwriter Amber Mark, the bouncy, glimmering pop song explores the ecstasy of a new infatuation.

"The track was written about the feeling when you begin to gain interest in someone," she wrote in an email to The FADER. "That feeling begins to take over your mind, to the point where can't control it."

In an email to The FADER, Will explained how his own take on the track differed: "My instrumental was loosely based upon a platonic relationship which had turned sour — inspired by that kind of crude, bold sarcasm that can follow a misunderstanding between people. Thankfully Amber never heard it that way, and I love the irony of how two entirely opposing sentiments can appear so intentional.” Listen to the song below.
