Kendrick Lamar’s DAMN. Album Has Gone Platinum

The album has spent two weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200.

After its April 14 release, Kendrick's Lamar's fourth studio album DAMN. had the biggest sales week of any album so far this year, moving 603,000 equivalent album units. Now, as Interscope Records announced on Twitter on Thursday, the album has gone platinum.

DAMN. marks the third platinum album of the Compton rapper's career, following certifications for good kid, m.A.A.d city and To Pimp a Butterfly. The record has spent two weeks at the No. 1 spot on the Billboard 200 chart. "Humble," the first single from the album, earned the No. 1 spot on the Hot 100 last week before moving to No. 3, while "DNA" is currently sitting at the No. 7 position.
