Twitter Is Mocking Ivanka Trump’s Ridiculous Us Weekly Cover

“Why I Disagree With My Dad” is being ridiculed for the flimsy PR attempt it is.

Ivanka Trump is in a bind. Her personal brand as an empowering and empowered businesswoman with just the correct amount of socially liberal values is at odds with her position as advisor to her father, President Donald Trump, who once confessed to sexual assault on tape. Ivanka has tried to position herself as a moderating influence on her father, who continues to lend his signature to a far-right agenda which includes the Muslim ban and cuts to Planned Parenthood.

This week, Ivanka is the subject of a cover story in Us Weekly, titled "Why I Disagree With My Dad." The title unintentionally highlights just how flimsy Ivanka Trump's brand as a mainstream voice in her father's White House is. The brazen PR attempt, however, is not: US Weekly is owned by David Pecker, a close friend of Donald Trump's.

Twitter had some fun with the cover, both needling Ivanka Trump's hypocrisy as well as the sheer childish nature of the title. Enjoy.
