On Tuesday, OG Ron C & The Chopstars dropped their mix of JAY-Z's new album 4:44, as spotted by Complex.
Each of the 10 tracks are chopped and screwed into that familiar purple aura by the Houston clique of OG Ron C, DJ Candlestick, and DK Slim K. The original tracklisting is scrambled, and splinters into a few additional tracks: "4:44 Purple Intro," and "Southside Blueprint Mashup," which include nods to JAY-Z's back catalogue, and "Smile Chopalude."
4:44 is the latest in a string of high-profile remixes from the Chopstars, including Chance The Rapper's Coloring Book, Rihanna's Anti, Kanye West's The Life of Pablo, and a swirl of Beyoncé's Lemonade with Solange's A Seat At The Table.
