This week, artists Jeff Henriquez and Eli “Eli Eos” Lazare completed their mural for Mobb Deep's Prodigy in Queensbridge, New York. Unfortunately, the collaborative piece didn't last long though because it has already been vandalized.

Cormega, a friend of the late rapper, posted a picture on Instagram of the defaced mural. As depicted in the image above, white paint is splattered over Prodigy's entire frame making him nearly unrecognizable. Suspects for the crime are currently unknown at this time. Fans have been expressing their outrage on Twitter.

The artists spent five days working on the piece and finished it on July 7. The mural was spray painted on the wall of the Urban Upbound building across from the Queensbridge Houses. We have reached out to Henriquez for comment.
