Report: Starlito Charged In Restaurant Shooting

The Nashville rapper faces counts of aggravated assault and unlawful gun possession.

Nashville rapper Starlito has surrendered to police following a shooting that took place in local restaurant Batter'd and Fried.

Investigators say a confrontation between Starlito (real name Jermaine Shute) and James Fletcher took place at around 9 p.m. on Tuesday night. Fletcher allegedly assaulted another man in the restaurant before he was shot in the left thigh with a pistol.

Shute entered into police custody on Thursday morning according to a release from the Nashville Police Department. He is charged with aggravated assault and unlawful gun possession.

Starlito has released several projects in 2017, including Manifest Destiny, his album Hot Chicken as well as Step Brothers 3, another long-anticipated collaboration with Don Trip.
