The wild success of James Corden's Carpool Karaoke has led to the Late Late Show segment getting its own stand-alone show on Apple Music. The series began on August 8 with Will Smith in the passenger seat.

Alongside the usual Carpool antics, chiefly Smith and Corden singing “Gettin' Jiggy Wit It” and “Boom! Shake the Room” Smith also opened up about a major role he may take in the future.

He told Corden that not only has he been asked to play Barack Obama, but that the former president has given his approval for Smith to portray him on the big screen. "I talked to Barack about it," Smith said. "He told me that he felt confident that I had the ears for the role."
