Emotive electronic trio VRWRK share “Hearts Beating In Sync.”

VRWRK are a trio originally from Belgium, now based in London, making blissed-out dance music for lazy mornings after heavy nights. On their latest single "Hearts Beating In Sync," vocalist Salem Khazali intones soulfully about a dead-end relationship over an irrepressible sparkling house beat. It's more upbeat than you'd expect from the subject matter, and the video (directed by Deedee Moemeke), which follows a group of friends as they dance, smoke, and generally mess around in the U.K. capital, makes the end of romance look like a fun and carefree time. As Khalazi sings, "I'm different without you, but it doesn't mean that I wanna go back."

“The lyrics were written as a way to cope with a toxic relationship," VRWRK explained in an email to The FADER. "Once out of my system it brought catharsis. I restarted focusing on myself and the people that mattered. A lot of people in the video were people I've known and loved since my teenage years, so it felt less like making a video and more like documenting a reconciliation."
