Gomez writes that the surgery and her recovery period kept her from promoting new music like "Bad Liar" and "Fetish," songs she says that she's "extremely proud of."

In the near future, Gomez says she intends to reveal more about her ordeal. "I honestly look forward to sharing with you, soon my journey through these past several months as I have always wanted to do with you."

The post concludes with expressions of gratitude for her doctors, family, and Raisa's donation. "She gave me the ultimate gift and sacrifice by donating her kidney to me. I am incredibly blessed." She also encourages readers visit Lupus Research Alliance to learn more about the "very misunderstood" disease.

Gomez revealed her Lupus diagnosis in 2015, and underwent chemotherapy treatments. She cancelled her Revival tour in 2016, citing mental health issues caused by the autoimmune disease.
