YG Hootie has shared "The City," a new track featuring Kendrick Lamar. Listen above via Complex. The song, a groovy and gritty ode to Compton, L.A., is produced by DJ FU of Eardrummers, and comes four years after Hootie and Lamar's previous collaboration "2 Presidents."

Hootie described to Complex the hidden Compton history alluded to in the song's cover art. "Compton gets a lot of bad press which shapes the perception of our city, but most never know George Bush and his family once resided here. They even went as far to suppress the fact, but you gotta give it up for The City."
