Sufjan Stevens has announced details of two upcoming releases due before the end of the year. Stevens, whose most recent album Carrie & Lowell, came out in 2015, will share his soundtrack to upcoming movie Call Me By Your Name first.

The soundtrack was created alongside Japanese composer Ryuichi Sakamoto and features three original Stevens songs, including “Mystery of Love” which can be heard in the movie's trailer (see above). It's Stevens's first step into the world of film and one which came at the personal request of director Luca Guadagnino. The soundtrack will be released on October 27 before the movie arrives in theaters on November 24.

The following month Stevens will release The Greatest Gift, a mixtape comprised of unreleased outtakes, remixes, and demos from the Carrie & Lowell sessions.

Included on the mixtape are iPhone-recorded demo versions of “John My Beloved” and “Carrie & Lowell" plus four previously unreleased new songs: “Wallowa Lake Monster,” “The Hidden River of My Life,” “City of Roses,” and “The Greatest Gift." A portion of proceeds will go to the Cancer Support Community.
