Hayley Kiyoko is starting off "TwentyGayteen" with a bang and a bop. After announcing the upcoming release of her debut album Expectations, the 26-year-old pop star dropped a music video for her latest single "Curious." Kiyoko co-directed the visual with James Larese and it's a beautifully shot commentary on the dynamics of queer love and the complicated laws of same-sex attraction. In the end, all the drama always goes down in the bathroom.
“This song is all about self-respect and knowing when to walk away when someone you care about is playing games," Kiyoko said in a press release. "The treatment I came up with for the video helps gets that point across in a fun and tongue-in-cheek way.”
Expectations is out on March 30 via Atlantic Records.
