On The Navigator, Alynda Segarra's six full-length LP as Hurray For The Riff Raff, the Bronx-born singer songwriter offers a stunning rumination on her Nuyorican roots, as well as a call to action for disenfranchised communities. Today, NPR has premiered her Tiny Desk concert, and its every bit as powerful as the first listen of her album. She and her band's performance of "Pa'lante," the album's mission statement of moving forward, is a particularly affecting moment.
