As far as propositions go, this one, in the form of a sticky afropop song by The.WAV and Masterkraft, is pretty damn compelling. Today the bicoastal four-piece, recently signed to Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge's Dudley Road Records, is premiering the video for "Proposition" — a treasure trove of catchy melodies and rhythms, featuring the Nigerian producer Masterkraft.
"The video is slick and the song has me dancing at parties and singing in my car," Sturridge said of "Proposition" and The.WAV's forthcoming EP. "I look forward to the world enjoying their music just like me."
It's "a song that people from all cultures and nations can celebrate. Loving another person and declaring it to the world. It is also our proposition to the world.
